Grandhammer: Tokyo’s Landmark of Food, Entertainment, and Culture Near Ginza Captivating Global Travelers

A New Landmark in Tokyo’s Urban Landscape

Located just steps from Ginza, Tokyo’s world-famous shopping and entertainment district, Grandhammer has been steadily gaining attention since its opening in November 2024.
The nine-floor complex offers a new way to experience Japanese food and culture, combining dining, entertainment, and art under one roof. With its 24-hour yokocho-style food alleys, live performances, and cultural attractions such as the Geisha salon Benitsuya and Ama Castle (Amajoh), Grandhammer has become a rising destination for both Tokyo locals and international visitors eager to discover Japan’s authentic yet playful side.

Grandhammer redefines Tokyo’s nightlife and dining scene through its concept of “Food, Entertainment, and Culture.” Each of its nine floors presents a distinct atmosphere — from the lively energy of street-food alleys to refined cultural performances — creating a space where traditional and modern Japan coexist seamlessly. The building’s immersive design and experiential approach make it a hub for travelers seeking to enjoy the depth and diversity of Tokyo in a single location.

Highlights Across the Floors

B1F — Ama Castle (Amajoh)

A spectacular space inspired by Japan’s legendary ama divers.
With live diving performances in a 20-ton aquarium and an ocean-themed interior, visitors experience a modern re-creation of Japan’s coastal heritage — a rare cultural attraction in central Tokyo.
Guests can enjoy freshly delivered seafood from across Japan, grilled in the hamayaki style, as well as A5-grade wagyu—served as yakiniku or sukiyaki—prepared on individual grills and personal hotpots. A new buffet featuring King Crab and Snow Crab is scheduled to launch in early December.

1F–2F — 24-Hour Yokocho Food Alleys

Modeled after Japan’s nostalgic yokocho (alleyways), these floors invite guests to enjoy regional dishes from across Japan and Asian comfort foods around the clock.
They capture the vibrancy of local festivals and Japanese regional comfort food culture, offering a casual yet exciting dining experience popular among food-loving travelers.

3-4F — The Grand Tokyo

A stage zone featuring Broadway-style revues, Anisong nights, and disco parties that energize Tokyo’s nightlife.
Visitors can dance, sing, and immerse themselves in a cross-genre entertainment experience bridging Japanese and global pop culture.

A sophisticated café lounge where guests can relax in a modern yet cozy atmosphere in the heart of Tokyo.
Featuring elegant interior design and ambient lighting, the lounge serves coffee, desserts, and light meals during the day, transforming into a stylish bar space at night.
It provides a calm, versatile setting ideal for meetings, conversations, and evening gatherings.

5F — HAMA CLUB

A lively and nostalgic space combining music and games.
With DJ sets, crane games, darts and a playful atmosphere, it provides fun for all generations — a fusion of retro and modern Tokyo culture.

6F — Benitsuya / Mikan / HAMACOM

The sixth floor offers an intimate journey into Japan’s traditional hanamachi (geisha district) culture.
Benitsuya collaborates with authentic geisha to offer guests an approachable introduction to refined Japanese entertainment.
From traditional dance to elegant ozashiki-asobi games, visitors can experience timeless artistry and learn the etiquette of Japan’s classical entertainment world.
With limited seating and reservation-only experiences, guests can enjoy seasonal dishes, sake, and conversation in an atmosphere of quiet elegance.
The same floor also features the retro announcer-themed snack bar Mikan and the interactive lounge HAMACOM, where karaoke, and conversation blend into Tokyo’s vibrant nightlife.

7F — O₂ Plage

A state-of-the-art relaxation floor featuring oxygen therapy, zero-gravity massage chairs, and private saunas — along with private rooms equipped with a shower and toilet, allowing guests to rest and unwind in comfort.

These rooms function like short-stay accommodations, available for stays of up to five hours, with extensions possible.
Designed for post-dining and post-show relaxation, it provides a new kind of urban wellness experience.

8F — Tatami & Rainbow Star

At Tatami, guests are welcomed by a hostess in traditional Japanese attire and can enjoy refined Japanese bar culture, premium sake and Kyoto Uji matcha desserts.
Rainbow Star, the rooftop beer garden, features BBQ and DJ events under Tokyo’s night sky — combining tradition and modern energy in one place.

Rising Popularity Among International Visitors

Amid Japan’s booming inbound tourism, Grandhammer is attracting a growing number of overseas travelers  to engage with Japanese culture in ways that are both accessible and deeply meaningful. It has become especially popular among culture-seeking visitors, repeat travelers, and food enthusiasts exploring Tokyo’s nightlife.
Thanks to its proximity to Ginza and Shimbashi, English-friendly service, and a diverse range of entertainment options, the venue is emerging as one of Tokyo’s must-visit cultural destinations for modern travelers.
